As I cut and polished this stunning Crystal Opal, I knew tyhat I wanted to maintian its organic shape, just as it had come from the earth, so created a styerling silver nest to hold it.  The stone has colour all the way through which flashed brightly as it is moved in the light.  Its predomninant colour is a sea of green on the top, the high crown nest allows it to be viewed from beneath as well.  The organic theme continues into the band, creating the unusual form.
